About

iHeat manufactures premium wood pellet fuel for stoves and boilers. This fuel is a growing source of energy in the United States.

Based in Wilmington, Ohio, we are a family-owned company using resources which would otherwise go to waste. Instead of rotting in a landfill, we use discarded wood and turn it into clean burning energy.

At iHeat, it’s important to make wood pellets responsibly.

THE ENERGY PELLETS DIFFERENCE

Our pellets are made from 100 percent recycled wood. We source our material from discarded wooden pallets to make our pellets. The wood is processed into small particles and put under high pressure to form the wood pellet fuel. Because the particles are densely packed and most of the water content removed, the wood burning pellets burn efficiently and cleanly.

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Along with our attention to quality, we offer uncompromised customer service. Whether you want a truckload or enough to get through the winter, your order is given the attention it deserves.

We commit to producing a sustainable fuel source which can play a large role in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels for heating. Wood pellets are not tied to sometimes arbitrary fluctuations in the international oil market. Our product is sourced, and produced in America.

HOW IHEAT PREMIUM WOOD PELLETS ARE MADE

A FRESH START FOR RETIRED SHIPPING PALLETS!

iHeat’s premium wood pellets are made from 100 percent recycled wood. We start with shipping pallets that have completed their usefulness in the shipping industry.

1

SHAKE DOWN, TAKE DOWN, BREAK DOWN, THEIR BUSTED

The shipping pallet pieces are broken down and crushed via a hammer mill and turned into fine particles. Hammer mills work on the principle that most materials will shatter, crush or pulverize upon impact.

2

ALL THE SEPARATION, WITH NONE OF THE ANXIETY

A magnet separation system is used to pull all the nails, screws and any other metal objects from the crushed material.

3

AIR GOES OUT, HEAT STAYS IN

Using state-of-the art equipment, the fine wood particles, are then compressed into pellets. The newly formed pellets are of uniform density, size and shape. This means they will burn evenly when used in stoves and boilers designed especially for pellets.

4

REUNITED, AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

The iHeat premium fuel pellets are then bagged and shipped via pallet to customers and retail home improvement centers. From pallets to pellets, and then back to pallets for transporting, this recycled product comes full circle.
